Balkan Cultural Institute in partnership with Municipality of Svilengrad, Regional Historical Muzeum and Institute of Balkan Studies & Center of Thracology organized a conference on Svilengrad and its surroundings in the historical sources:from Ancient times to Our Days. Main organization was provided by Dr. Kalina Peeva. The conference was highly appreciated by the local community.
Festival of Early Music "Stravagantsa" in the town of Kavarna, an annual forum in which participate professional musicians that work in the field of ancient music and dance as well as artists from the fields of fashion, design, architecture, painting, decorative arts and film. Balkan Cultural Institute supported the promotion and implementation of the Fifth edition of the Festival and donated funds for the conference-workshop held on August 11, for the lecture of Prof. Julian Kuyumdjiev, which attracted great interest and quite a good response in the professional music circles.

Chairman of the Association Mrs. Yordanka Bibina participated in the Third International Symposium of Translators and Publishers of Turkish Literature and Literary Exchange and Translation in the Euro Mediterranean Region Conference in Istanbul, 26-29 May 2011 on invitation by TEDA with a paper on “Turkish translations in Bulgaria from the Renaissance to our days” and has got the chance to present our organization and opportunities for common publishing and translating activities
May 2011: – Balkan Cultural Institute received a donation by the Ministry of Culture of Turkey, the 10-volume new edition of the travel notes of Evliya Chelebi "Seyahatname" in connection with the upcoming symposium organized by the Association on the occasion ofthe 400th anniversary of this great Ottoman traveler, proclaimed by UNESCO as Man of the year.
Artistic photo look, which includes the exhibits "Ottoman architecture in Bulgaria - inside and outside" and submition of original design ed photos by artist Nikolay Minchev consisted of 50 black and white and color photos. "It" is insight photografic view presented restorational works over 15 years. They are presented for the first time in the new Center for Contemporary Art in Edirne. Artistic documentary "guided tour" through the most important objects of Ottoman architecture in Bulgaria presented a total of about 36 photosin in format of 70 x 100 cm and 70 x 150 sm. Assoc.
